Below are example spreads from various 2023 issues. The caption indicates which one.
Note: All tables are done by hand. Some diagrams and images need to be recreated by hand. Anything recreated is indicated in the caption.

October 2023 / Yellow-legged Hornet in North America - What Does This Mean for Beekeepers? / Gard Otis

June 2023 / U.S. Honey Industry Report - 2022 / USDA Reports with Supplemental by Kim Flottum

Note about Otis Article (Above)
This article was given to us, formatted, and designed on the print due date after proofs had already been created by the printer. There are times when I need to quickly change articles at the last minute for multiple reasons. In this case, it was a very important breaking story.
Note about Industry Report (Above)
This is a yearly article that we provide that takes USDA government reports and makes them more digestible for the average person. I had to take multiple reports with various information and find the data to update these tables. The previous designer created tables using tabs only so I had to completely remake every single table.

Note about Image Gallery (Above)
I had an idea to start an image contest in 2022. This idea came from multiple months when we were struggling to find an image for the cover. So, for this contest, subscribers could send in any images that pertain to the theme and we would consider them as cover options (when large enough at 300dpi) and the image gallery. The individuals whose images we used would get some free issues of the magazine added to their subscription.
